Joachim Reidl became professor for microbiology at the Institute for Molecular Biosciences of the University of Graz in 2007. He is an expert in bacterial infections and the mode of action of antibiotics. He has published about 70 scientific papers. The microbiologist hast been co-referent of the Austrian Science Fund since 2016. In May 2021 he became Vice-Rector for Research and Career Development at the University of Graz.
